Hello.  I'm sorry to be a bother but I'm a bit stuck.  I've never been very good at Pixel art and had reached a block working on the sprite for my game.  because of the nature of it the Single tile squashed look of the sprites doesn't really suit it so I'm using Hidden ones two tile large sprite template, but I'm struggling

This is what I've done so far, and yes I know it's not a lot, that's my problem I have no idea what I'm doing and I could really use so help, pointers or someone who like, actually knows what their doing? LOL

I'd appreciate it, thanks.

Larger sprites are great for showing more details, but they can be pretty intimidating when you're getting started.  Try breaking the sprite into different parts, personally I tend to split them into three pieces: tops, bottoms, and accessories.  Instead of trying to get everything done at once, I'll put some pants on the sprite and build from there.

If you're using a generator sprite as a reference, take some time and decide what you like about it and use those likes to make the bigger sprite.  Looking at your generator sprite, the first few things that pop out at me are gloves, gold badges on the shoulders, and a long-ish jacket with a belt over it.  So those are what I'd focus on getting onto the sprite, leaving the rest of the sprite simple until I'm happy with those.  More details can always be added later, so don't think that you have to get everything perfect right away.

If you're really new to spriting, don't be afraid to work on simple clothes first.  Put your sprite in plain pants and a t-shirt, using the body shading as a rough example of how the clothes could be shaded.  Once you get used to how clothes will generally cover the sprite, then making more detailed outfits is a lot easier.

It's a lot of work, but the results can be great once you get used to it.  So just keep practicing.  :rwink:

Oh wow!

It's amazing to get feed back from such a great artist *faints*

...

*recovers*  Ok I'm back First of all.. OMG that look freaking amazing!  Secondly, Thank you so much for the advice I am trying to break it down, but also each peice, like I did the main body of the jacket first, I'd also like to give her long sleeves, because, in the environment she can't have bare skin (It's Infected monsters, No bitey LOL)  But I like what you've done and seeing it helps me get an idea of how I'd like to build Mine.  Thank you so so so much!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
