Hi guys, forgive me for reposting this as a new thread but I read that it was better to do that than post on the end of one.

So yes Im a newb. loving all the work you guys do and am getting heavy into the rpgmv!

My problem is I've instaled some of Yanflys awsome pluging in this order.

CoreEngine v1.25
BattleEngineCore v1.45
ActSeqPack1 v1.12
ActSeqPack2 v1.12

My problem is with the ActSeqPack's.......I dont get anything in the Parameters box...nothing at all. its compleatly blank.

I've uninstalled, reinstaled. made new projects, updated everything I can think of. but still I dont get anything in the box!

Any Ideas of whats going on or what i need to do to be able to use these things please. The BattleEngineCore works fine and is awesome. I dont want to do anything as amazing as a lot of you guys, just want to add a little dynamics to my little ol project for my kids to play on!

thanks for any help in advance guys!

Action Sequences are pretty advanced, so you're gonna have to do some reading and testing to get them to work. There are no parameters on the plugin because everything is handled via notetags on skills. If you read through Yanfly's extensive notes on it (like here for pack 1), you'll get the basics of it. Essentially, each pack is enabling the sequence notetags to do certain things, but you have to input the notetags yourself - the plugin doesn't have any built in parameters for you to alter.

Honestly, Action Sequences are better left for learning later down the road if you are new to RPG Maker. They are more for presentation than functionality, and you should learn other aspects of the program before moving to them, in my opinion at least.

I believe there is a big thread somewhere here on the forum for people that design and experiment with notetags for Action Sequences - you may want to see what kind of stuff they have created and how they did it to get an idea of how to use them. I'll try to link it for you if I get a chance.

EDIT: Here is the forum. If you are interested in trying your hand at Action Sequences, take a look at how other people have used notetags to create some of their own. Also, you'll want to make sure you have all 3 of Yanfly's Action Sequence Pack plugins installed as well, since you said you only have 2.

thank you for your reply!

LOL so let me just get this into my really thick head! I've been thinking that it works through the perameters box, and it works through the notetags!!!! (i'm just going to hit my head on a wall a few times)

I cant stop laughing at myself!

thank you for the advice. im going to run off and start again by reading...lots!

Good luck! I'm sure there are Youtube videos you can watch to help learn them as well. Once you get the hang of it, it will become easier, but it does take a lot of experimentation.

You can also use this website to test your Action Sequences instead of plugging everything into notetags and then manually having to test them out in game.

I was so happy when I found that site. Makes things so much easier.

It's also better when you give your thread a title that refers to the problem you have ;) Then people know straight away whether they can help or not. (and it's easier for other people who are searching for help with similar issues)

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c

To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
