I want to seal equipment on a certain character

but only if it's on the right character. Otherwise, nothing happens. The player gets to choose and if they choose right it gets sealed on them. But I don't want it getting stuck on the wrong character. For VX Ace. Don't know what I need. A common event? script? Who knows? Trying to implement it when the character chooses what footwear to equip.

I don't think this is the right section of the forums for that. Also, what engine are you using? And are you trying to implement this through an event or skill? It isn't very clear.

First, please define seal equipment.. by default RM has a "seal equipment" feature but what it does is prevent you from equipping anything on that equip slot. Is it also what you want to do, or is it like "fix equipment" where the player cannot remove whatever is currently equipped in that slot?

Anyway, if it's any of the two and you want to make it activate when a player changes footwear then you first need a script that allows you to run either events or script call during change equip since you cannot do that by default. Then you can just for example make an unremovable state that adds either the "seal equipment" or the "fix equipment" feature into the character, or take something like Shaz' dynamic features script to allow you to add the seal/fix feature directly into the character

Ooops. Yeah, fix. Can anyone show me how to use Shaz' dynamic features script? Just need an example.

Or once the item is equipped, do a test to see who has it on, and if it's the right character, apply a state to that character, where the state has a feature to fix the equipment.

How would that work? Maybe I should just make two sets of the equipment. One that is fixed and one that isn't. They choose the right non-fixed footwear for the puzzle. The condition branch sees it's the right character. The event happens and swaps out the non-fixed for the fixed one with change equipment.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
