Thanks, but the text is still over my picture.. I think I'll have to make it using photoshop and this script.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply.

Hello,

This script seems to be exactly what I'm looking for.. I'd like to fade in a picture, and then smoothly move it (it a picture of a map, and it will be like "walking through a map"). I did it using the standard commands, but both the fade in and the move aren't smooth.. so I wonder if you could give me some hints on how to do it using this script.

Thanks!

I haven't been done anything RM-related in a while, but the default :linear movement should behave like the normal Picture Move command of Ace in a sense that it moves gradually. Are there other script commands related to the picture, that could be interfering with mine or (unlikely) is the game having general FPS issues?

I have done both fading (opacity) and movement (x, y) of pictures using this script in the past and it worked fine for me.

Thanks for the reply! Actually, the issue is regarding the specification of the classes in the script configuration... I'm having some difficulty on how should I do it to move a picture and change its opacity.

The default configuration already contains Game_Picture, so you don't have to add anything. Pictures are referenced like this:

Code:
picture = $game_map.screen.pictures[<picture_id>]
The attributes you are looking for are "x", "y" and "opacity".

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
