Thanks a lot for this plugin, which perfectly makes the job  BD


Btw, i'm looking by myself to add a new title screen menu entry for language, which opens a separate option windows for language selection.


Because, in original state, it let the player think that switching language in the options menu doesn't do anything and need to go back to view any changes.

Is possible to have an array of the languages (like IAVRA.I18N.languages();), but that used in the menu?


Ex: I don't want En and Es as value, but English and Espanol.

When I tried to download this plugin, my MSE delete the file and not allow me to download it. When I check MSE, it's report virus found.


Is it false alarm? Have anyone facing the same problem?

@Iavra Am I supposed to translate the game myself or is there some way to get language packs for MV?

The plugin can only allow you to change between texts provided by you or others - there is no automatic translation anywhere on the web that is of a decent quality.


So yes, even with this (or other) multi-language plugins, you have to do the translation manually.

Just for the record, it does work on the Terms section of the DB.

This plugin is amazing.

I suggest you all implement early in development though!

I have finished an initial version of a translation extractor for this plugin. You can download (and test) it from https://github.com/TiS/rpgmv-translation-extractor (see the 'releases' tab).

It needs java installed on your computer, mind that.

Mind that: this is an EXPERIMENTAL version of an extractor. I am not responsible for any damage to your current translation files, so... make a backup before running it.

Feel free to test it and tell me, what you think about it.

But I do have one concern...

If the translation file gets too large, would it have perf issues? Has anyone finished a full game with this?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the extractor for? What exactly are you extracting?

Moreover, I didn't understand well where I have to put #{text.test}? Is it in an event ?

@narome2b we can't really help you with an error unless you give us the full console screenshot.
Best guess however is that something went wrong when you last updated the project, so please update it again to 1.4.0 (the project, not the editor - but you can update both if you didn't update the editor yet.

the text code goes into the show text command for example

Wrong - your attached picture contains a tiny part of the console where several messages were cut off.

The only thing obvious from that screenshot is that you made several mistakes when updating your project, because that is the only way to get an error in the html file.
Please update your project again, following exactly the steps as given in the update topic (I suggest to 1.4.0). If that doesn't solve your problem, please give the full screenshot of the console output after that update when the next error happens

I've been using IAVRA's Localization plugin for translation, and it's been working very well. Thanks, @Iavra , for a wonderful plugin!
However, I've finally gotten to the point where I want to test deployment, and it's not working for some reason.

I can deploy to Windows, and it creates an EXE that loads and runs with no problem (up until the first real battle, where an animation caused an error I'll cover in another post.

However, the deploy to HTML, Android and iOS isn't working, it just returns an HTML window with Error - Script Error.
When I launch the Chrome Dev tools/console, it's giving an uncaught error loading the json files for the game.

As this is my first time attempting to launch the HTML at all, and I'm doing it locally (off a memory stick) is this going to have to go on a website to operate, or can I launch it as a self-contained web page on my computer?
Also, is there an issue with loading JSON at all? I notice 23 errors and they don't all have to do with IAVRA's plugin.

I created a tutorial guide using picture. I need to use conditional branch to check what language they choose. Does any know what is the script call to detect what language the user choose?

That I believe is in the help text of the plugin as well as readable in the js file with a text editor...

Hi @Iavra! I'm using different font for alternate language and I'm wondering is there anyway to change the font when you switch language? Many thanks for the amazing plugin!

I'm so amazed at this ABS plugin for MV. This is a plugin that can literally fulfill my biggest game dreams, creating an Ultima VII-like game. Below is a video of a quick scenario I created to test out the plugin. The music in the video is my own composition.
