Thanks for this. The problem with this solution, though, is that I specifically do not want all the recipes to be 'discovered' at the start of the game. Searching for the recipes is an integral part of the story line and game play, so by definition, I have to use 'false' except for a couple which are indeed there at the beginning.
I started another thread on this to see if anyone could help, no one has come up with anything, but in doing that I discovered a few things. I could take a brand new recipe, insert it in the script, and as long as it was numbered 1 to 6 inclusive, things would work. No matter what recipe I put in as recipe 7, I got the error message. So it isn't the fact that the recipe wasn't there at the beginning of the game, it seems to be the number of them. In addition, though, the cursor in the recipe section of the crafting menu wouldn't scroll down below the second recipe. Weird.
