Okay, so, are you into long names or short names? I kinda get the vibe that yo game gonna be humorous, but also gonna be mystery in it, right? Is there any central place in yo game, or any central, important characters that the story about?

Like, you cud go with summat like, "Orn & Betty's Super Pub Crawl" or "Town Trouble: Orn & Betty Fix It Up!" or "Jammy and Norbert BANG BANG" (Ok that last one nonsensical, but bear wid me, I gotta get the bad ones outta the way before I get to the good ones... maybe.) :kaoswt:

Or, like, if the central place of yo game was an office, then summat like, "The Office of Dread", or "The Banana Beer Office", or "The Office of So Many Papers". Or if the place wuz a hospital, then summat like... "The HoSPTIal" (???) or maybe, "Ghosts and Hospitals", or "Pubs and Hospitals", or "Orn & Betty's Super Hospital Romp". That kinda sound like something from the 90s mayyyybe? :kaoswt:

Is it alright if I give you guys a list of ideas I want in my RPG? It's in a link so that way it won't be a list of text on the post on this website, more like a link where there's a list of ideas that I have. Anyways, whaddya guys think about it?

@RamenKitty, that's like, a novel... :kaoswt2: But, I read three of your ideas, 1, 2, and 3! :kaopride:I wouldn't like having a save diary that's consumable, I wanna save anywhere, anytime! (Wouldn't be able to save-scum otherwise!)

I like the idea of Greek deities controlling my character, 'cuz Soldier of the Mist. :kaoluv: I'm kinda indifferent to the method of saving, as long as it's easy and always available? I really don't mind save points that much either, but if saving's a real hassle somehow, then I'm out!

I see. Well, the reason why I have these ideas for my RPG is that I want my RPG to be so realistic, and yet cryptic, not only by its character development in each of the characters, but also by its story mechanics, gameplay mechanics, and lore. Cause if there's anything I love more than games is stories. Whether it'd be Urban Legends, Creepypastas, Fairy Tales, or even just Classic Literature. Plus, to summarize what my RPG is, just imagine real life, but what if all stories were true, in a certain cryptic manner, or whatever it is.

Ok, probably should have putted my idea here, now I dont remember what I asked in the last one...copy and paste ;) Yes, got a bit tired so it took me longer than I wanted, but finally my idea is starting to take place. Now I have almost all maps working, but need ideas how to move on. Atm I have used built ins combined with my own designs, is it better to use newer tilesets? Battles I think is enough with standard ones, but I still want a better layout where each enemy and player have their own waiting bar and I still want it multiplayer haha. Right now I am looking at plugins and npc:s but want to have working maps before I go deeper into next steps. File to big, but here is the second newest (with a cpl of not updated maps)

Hi I don't know if this goes here but because I don't have a full fledged demo yet I figured it didn't need it's whole thread I was wondering if some people could give me some feed back of the first few minutes of my game? If you could that would be nice. Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Hi I don't know if this goes here but because I don't have a full fledged demo yet I figured it didn't need it's whole thread I was wondering if some people could give me some feed back of the first few minutes of my game? If you could that would be nice. Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Tried to play and got this after I petted the neighbours dog...before I got to the schoolyard (I think), spoke to some ppl and couldnt go further. But seems a nice game idea from what I did see :)

I have a thread now but yea that's where it ends I need to make an actual end of demo page

Just came up with a neat idea for the Attack command. It morphs and upgrades based on what stats you have and/or what class you are.

----- WARRIOR -----
Every 20ish STR = 25% more damage to normal attack.
0-19 STR = Attack
20 STR = Attack II
40 STR = Attack III
60 STR = Attack IV
80 STR = Attack V
99 STR = Attack VI

------- ROGUE -------
Every 20ish DEX = 1 extra attack with 25% less damage to both.
0-19 DEX = Attack
20 DEX = 2x Attack
40 DEX = 3x Attack
60 DEX = 4x Attack
80 DEX = 5x Attack
99 DEX = 6x Attack

-------- CLERIC --------
Every 40 SPI = Heals ally if targeted. Healing increased with rank (or add aoe, spread the healing maybe)


0-19 SPI = Attack

40 SPI = Healer

80 SPI = Healer II

99 SPI = Healer III

Can't wait to hear what games it's similar to and the obligatory ''But it has to be balanced though!'' xD

@Willibab, seems cool! Altho the warrior example is pretty lame, isn't attack power s'posta go up anyway when strength goes up? :kaoswt: I'd do summat like:

Lv1: Bash (breaks enemy armor, shields, stuff)
Lv2: Smash (stuns maybe?)
Lv3: Supa Smash (so strong, it rips reality apart and enemies are sucked into X-Zone!)

Yeaaaa ok, but you get the idea? :biggrin: Anyway, on the whole I'd dig this, especially the rogue example, I'm all for when I can just spam lots and lots of attacks without effort! :kaoluv:

Came to the same conclusion too. Changed it to Slash - > Slash-All - > Slash All x2.

Actually have a bash for warhammer =)

Cant believe it took me so long to find the thread for posting smaller parts of your game and mechanics n stuff for feedback.

So i am working on an ultimate move. It can only be used once per playthrough.

The move is inspired by Vegeta's DADADADA attack (that never works)

This one hits like **** though. The boss i used it on is one of the hardest in the game and the move not only melted her but kept hitting her grave for a few seconds (overkill lol)

Now i just need a cool startup for the move.

I wud probably not ever use it as per the Never Use Potions rule, tho! :kaoswt: Or just save it for the final boss and just, y'know, win instantly?

@alice_gristle yeah the idea is to exploit the gamer habit of never using ultra rare things.

I mean thats a boss you struggled with, will you finally give up and use your ultra move or will you keep thinking "oh what if the next bosses are even harder, i better save it"

Alright got a video of a review of a fake PS5 here.
