So last year I was questioning if I should buy a PS4 or Nintendo Switch. I wanted to support Nintendo but didn't fully trust their new console since the launch lineup was poor except for Zelda and the console got lukewarm reviews. I was also afraid that it would end up as another Wii U, whose purchase I heavily regret to this day. So I went PS4 and saved the Switch purchase until the holidays when Mario Odyssey came out. Why? Kingdom Hearts 3. I got into the series after watching a "top 20 best final bosses" countdown by Black Mage Maverick, then known as MaverickHunterZero98 and seeing Xemnas from Kingdom Hearts 2 in the top 3. I searched the Xemnas full battle on youtube and was instantly hooked, even though I never owned a PlayStation console. I did a ton of research, learning all the lore and the plots of every game. The only available games to me were 358/2 Days, Re: Coded and Dream Drop Distance. (the 3DS version) I heard Days and Coded were not very good so I picked up a used DDD for $80.00 (WTH?) and started playing. I was not confused (until the darkness within darkness cut scene) because I knew the entire plot of all the games. I had a lot of fun and that made me even more hyped for KH3, which around that time got the Jump Festa Trailers aired, which was the first real look at the game. So in short, I got a PS4 ONLY to play KH3. (and the HD remasters) I did eventually get a switch easily on the release date of Mario Odyssey no less. (Good thing I pre-ordered the bundle 4 months in advance!) After the newly released KH3 trailer showing off a Game and Watch mini game, I think this is enough evidence that KH3 might get a switch port, since Game and Watch is owned by Nintendo and KH3 is currently not scheduled to release on the switch or any other Nintendo console. (like it's releasing on the Wii U or 3DS
This is unless Square Enix bought the full rights to the Game and Watch, which I highly doubt. (good ol Nintendo is always ultra protective with their rights since Zelda CDi and the Mario Movie) So how do you feel? Do you regret any purchases you made in the past?
