You know, I've wondered about this. They all have their high and low points. Most of my favorite games have medieval or renaissance settings, which means no flushing toilets or internet. Then, with any of them, you have threats like dragons, zombies, zombie dragons, and angsty bishounen.

Provided I could be a character with powers like the heroes, I would say it's a toss-up between:

*Golden Sun (mercury adept, please!)

*Kingdom Hearts (fear my keyblade!)

*Bravely Default

*Pokemon X/Y (kalos, so stylish)

*Legend of Zelda

On another day I might have answered with a different game, but I've been thinking about this one a lot. Played it often on SNES and it had these enormously long campaigns AND the SNES version would NOT let you save during the campaigns, it only let you save only before or after the campaigns (which could go on for hours).


If tired, I would have to leave the console on overnight until the next day if I had not finished a campaign yet. The PSX version let you save during battles, but the SNES, which is the one I played the most, did not. So Ogre Battle: MOTBQ is my choice du jour.
