Do you have any idea how boring that would ultimately make life after the initial thrill of being able to abuse that knowledge for personal benefit wore off? I get wanting to know the future at times but... that would be more of a curse than it is a power in a lot of ways. I couldn't stand it, I'd never be able to enjoy a brand new book again because I'd already know before the author even thought it up.To be Omnipotent.
I do believe you are thinking of "Omniscient", which is different from "Omnipotent"...Do you have any idea how boring that would ultimately make life after the initial thrill of being able to abuse that knowledge for personal benefit wore off? I know this.I do believe you are thinking of "Omniscient", which is different from "Omnipotent"...
Although Omnipotence should by default include Omniscience.
They mean the same thing when you think about it. You cannot do anything without the knowledge of how it's done and likewise you cannot know exactly how to do something without being capable of doing it. (in most cases, of course someone who becomes crippled knows how to walk but is still incapable of it, however if you were Omniscient you'd know how to repair yourself and in doing so prove omnipotence as well). It would be impossible to have absolute power without absolute knowledge because the ability to do comes from the knowledge of how something is done in the first place.I do believe you are thinking of "Omniscient", which is different from "Omnipotent"...

But that's what I wantI know this....
Being a god; omnipotent, etc... WORST EVER...
You have no idea how privelegded one is for barriers, limits, complications and general struggles overall, and many many other things that being omnipotent denies you of. Even things you would never even think about.... That's probably a different topic somewhere, so I wont get into it though.
And that kind of sounds like I'm claiming to be some kind of special god or something... I'm not, so that's not really what I'm saying. I just know this subject "first-hand" in a "second-hand" nature? I guess? I don't know how you would explain that, really..... But yeah.. Silly me..
Anyway, if I had any power, it would have to be the ability of communication. Whether it be anyone or anything. Be it verbal, or telepathic, or whatever. As long as the communication was absolute and perfect without misenterpretation.
and that is exactly what I wantOmnipotence is boring... Never feeling accomplishement, overcoming barriers, no surprises, no thrill, no risk, no adventure, no exploration, no learning, no cooking...
Power doesn't come with knowledge, and knowledge doesn't come with power. For proof, look at humans. So many people wielding power irresponsibly, without understanding it. And there are so many people with the knowledge to do things but are incapable of doing them. They mean the same thing when you think about it.
