If you could have one power...?

I believe I want the power to fly, but on the other thought I want the power to "Can accept my own self and be grateful". Yes I do want to fly, I do want to be able to shoot a fire from my bare hands. But I know I will never satisfied, human greed is endless, I'm a person who have a lot of ambitions and can easily envy to other peoples who have greater talents more than me, that's why I keep pushing myself to get better and better in many ways.as I can, and it sometimes hurts a lot in both pshycal and mind(including heart). So I want the power to destroy that greed, so I can live happy, peace, and grateful to as myself(though if the fly ability is a bonus I'm really happy).

It's always interesting to read what other people answer to a question like that, and it is the kind of question that crops up a lot. There are a lot of powers that I personally would find useless in today's world.

Powers such as invisibility wouldn't be of much use unless you're a secret spy, and any powers which make you a killing machine, such as super strength, fire from hands, or laser beams from eyes are really no use unless you're going to war or living in an extremely dangerous area where danger is around every corner.

Some powers are more of a curse than a gift. Time travel can easily fall into that as you can end up messing the timelines up and having a lot on your hands, or you might simply lose yourself in a grand timeline, not knowing where you truly belong. Or powers such as telepathy - some people's thoughts are best left unheard. Or being able to see the future, such as your own death. These are the kind of powers I'd exclude from my list immediately.

Powers which help you to save time and/or money one way or another are really nice. Though they mostly end up being means to an end and can get boring pretty quickly.

If I had to select a super power, it'll be something that can bring me a ton of entertainment and versatility to do new things. Aside from extreme examples such as omnipotence or ability to create things from nothing, I think the power of flight is very nice. It might be the most typical answer to a question like this, but there's a lot you can do with flying. You can travel faster and further, you can relax and enjoy, you can even create your own sport. You're no longer bound by the 2 dimensions of travel. Telekinesis is another power I really like - being able to move anything with my mind, including myself - hey, the flight is suddenly no longer needed, because with telekinesis I can move myself through the air. So there, I'd pick telekinesis.

Apologies for such a long post. I wasn't actually trying to slag off anybody else's choice. I just always found this topic to be fascinating to debate about.

Me?  Personally?  Ever see Code Geass?  Lelouche's power from that would be awesome.  Yeah, I'd probably pretty much use them in exactly the same manner.  Yeah, I'd accept the same limitations on them.  The power of ultimate orders?  Give a person a single order that they must obey, no matter what?  I would love that.

If not that one...

I'd like the power to know how shows I don't watch or care about end long before they ever end so that I can spoil them for everyone else.  Want to know how "The Bachelor" ends?  I will tell you and spoil the crap out of that for you!  Want to know who wins on The Voice?  Let me spoil that for you!  I'd never post the endings in public places where writers could see, for fear they'd change the ending (even though I'd know the new ending the moment they put it in).  It would also only work on shows and movies I don't really care about or even really want to see, so that none of my own are ever spoiled (though it wouldn't really matter if I spoiled my own, because watching it isn't the same as knowing the ending).

I'd prefer either of those two powers.  Seriously, I'd have so much fun with them.
