Hi,

some months ago I bought the IG Maker.

I installed it successfully in Windows 7, along with the Update to Version 1.1.0.5 and it worked fine since.

But after updating my OS to Windows 10 it suddenly started crashing at every attempt to start it.

The UI gets loaded and for a few seconds you may navigate normally (doesn't matter what you click), but then Windows says "it encountered a problem".

No further information is available (e.g. I tried starting it with the console).

I installed the IG Maker and the Update again on a "fresh" recently bought Notebook with a native Windows 10 to exclude OS update issues -  but it also crashes at program startup.

Is there an Update I missed or is Windows 10 not supported? If no, will there be a fix in the near future?

Thank you very much in advance,

Janey

It could be Windows. I have been hearing a bit about Windows 10 upgrade breaking some peoples systems, and compatibility with software.

I can't say anything about IGM, but as an advice about windows in general:

Whenever you update your windows, you need to update all your drivers as soon as possible.

Microsoft usually replaces the existing drivers for your hardware from the previous windows with general drivers that are meant for dozens of different devices and will NOT be able to do more than the basic compatibility functions.

Additionally, those compatibility drivers are usually slowed down for stability reasons.

You need to replace your drivers with drivers written by your hardware manufacturers as soon as possible, and most probably the bugs you have are because the generic drivers can't control your computer correctly (Microsoft doesn't have full hardware details on all devices)

Best bet is to run oracle virtual machine. Win10 loves breaking things -_-

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
