24 hour demo?!?!?!  

Are you joking or was that a typo? Because otherwise it's easily lengthiest demo I've ever heard of.

A game can have a 30 hour demo, or even a 40 hour demo. It's only a demo until the point where you fully develop and complete the game. It's not uncommon to have lengthy demos spanning that amount of time.

No, it's totally unheard of. I've never heard of anyone making 40 hour demo ever, not even anything published by Valusoft. That is just ridiculous. It's longer than several full game lengths combined!!! 

Also a major middle finger since it ends after that long time into "purchase full version"  or something similar.

Demo is not the same as Unfinished Game. 

Demo is short for "Demonstration." It's there only as a preview. 30 hours is not a preview, its an unfinished game.

I'm soon gonna release my updated version of my game, Violent Whispers (Version 0.4). There's just some stuff that I still need to polish up. Would that be something you could add to your list? The game is a demo and the est. playtime is around 1.30hs or so, and It's a fantasy based RPG with various themes.
