Let's say I made a game in rpgmaker with Harold as the main character, with his basic sprite as well. As he is a key figure in my story, if I want to make a sequel I'll still have him in my story.
So my questions are:
- If I change to another engine(other than rpgmaker) can I still use him? (keep his looks etc)
- If I decide to make a webtoon or something else about the game, is he still a usable character for me?
- If I decide to copyright my game, is my version of Harold copyrighted as well? (Like Marvel's Thor, DC's Ares, many games' Leviathan, and others similar)
*note: this is something I thought of in the shower in the morning if it sounds stupid it might just be

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
