So i am trying to make a horror game in this maker and i have no idea how to do many of the important things that i kind of need, like how can i make an event only happen once, and how can i make a sort of pitfall trap thing , and how can you import things like monsters and make them come after me sometimes, and how do i make them auto kill me, and that all i can think of -.- and i only have the lite version so far, i didn't want to buy the full one because if i end up rage quitting i dont want to have ended up wasting $70

lol, easy... Use self switches. So you go to event page 1>> Game Progression>> and Choose Control Self Switch, and turn on the self switch. Choose A,B,C, or D. And you're good to go ^_^

Game development not only needs work, it also needs experience and learning - in your case it's obvious that you haven't learned how to use switches and variables (which are the most important parts of any event and quest more complex than "go there") and several of the event commands (like "game over").

I suggest you follow the link in my signature and take about a month to work through the tutorials (NOT only reading them, working through them with your own tutorial project)

This. The particular examples you asked in your post are easy enough to solve but if you can't do those things yourself you will have a hard time throughout your project. Not meant as a rude post, just advice that you ought to pick up the ropes of RPG Maker first. It's pretty easy really, unless you want to do the really complex stuff and/or scripting.

I have done coding before and know some switches and variables, but the only coding i have done in my life has been java, but i know how to use them here, a made it so you can't leave a room till you find an item in the room that switches the thing blocking the exit turn off, i just really have no idea how to get other people in the game xD so yes i will look at your tutorial

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
