RPG Maker Forums
Hello everyone, I am here to get the hang of this RPG Maker thing. I'm not sure if I'll be making direct RPG's seeing as this engine has quite a few possibilities, but I do plan to start small. I can give the spill about myself, but I kind of did that on the about me portion of my profile. Check it out if you want to know more.
A brief overview if you don't want to is this, I do a little bit of it all, but I mastered none of it so to speak. I continue to work on improving in these areas daily, but my main itch at the moment is small simple Logos and such.
Areas I work In : [Writing, Design, Art, very very little coding and composing. For coding I have touch on JavaScript, C#, and Lua. For design I use PhotoShop.]
Well, overall I look forward to seeing what you all have in store and showing what I can do. I want to be as involved as possible here, so if anyone has tips on anything, where to start, who are some good role models to look at for inspiration, everything. Whatever information you can give me, I'll take it.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
