    @Hesrtless1206 I've moved your post into it's own thread. I've also removed your email address to prevent bots from getting it and spamming you.

    its possible with no scripts but will take a huge file size. You can animate it with "show picture" with each frames in picture folder.

    show picture (1) <=frame 1
    wait 2
    show picture (2) <=frame 2
    wait 2
    show picture (1) <=frame 3
    erase picture (2)
    wait 2
    show picture (2) <=frame 4
    wait 2
    show picture (1) <=frame 5
    erase picture (2)
    wait 2
    show picture (2) <=frame 6
    wait 2
    show picture (1) <=frame 7
    erase picture (2)

    ...and so on! You can adjust the wait time if the animation is too fast. Its manual animation but thats the only way i know to do it.

    If you were going to do it using Show Pictures, you may as well convert them to an animation and use an animation instead.

    No, you can't. I did not say anything about making a gif.

    @Project CROSS said to use Show Picture with each frame as a different image. Animations (that you see when you go to the Animation tab in the database) are made out of one or two images containing all the frames. Which is pretty much the same approach, but using an already provided feature instead of Show Picture.

    RM Animations have nothing to do with gifs, and I don't believe any version of RM will play gifs.

    Perhaps you should clarify what your 2D frame by frame image is - I assumed you had it set up as a character sprite, which is very different from 28 different pictures.

    If you are using Ace, you're in the wrong place. This forum is for RGSS2 (VX) scripts, and that's what you've got in your profile. So any script anyone gave you would not work, if you really are using Ace. (VX and VX Ace are two different engines and the scripts are not cross-compatible).

    Can you confirm what engine you're actually using, so the mods can move this to the correct place if necessary?

    If you have your sprites set up as a character sheet, I believe Galv's Move Route Extras script will do what you want.

    As Shaz said, Galv's Move Route Extras is the best take if you are talking about a charset. But if you want one for pictures too, you could use MOG Picture Effects - though you can do it with the default engine as said above
