As for Kaus's plugin, I honestly think that is his own work, but if people aren't sure, go switch it out with Hudell's plugin that he's creating.

for the plugin it's his original works 


althouhg for people who wonder why it's have weird way's to do compatibilities stuff it's  a old RM XP and VX behavior where's the concept of alias was not so much used due how much the method was bad written or WAY to much long for being efficient...


the concept consist of adding method names when's the script or plugin is present for avoid any incompatibilities.


OR NEITHER Kaus knew how to properly alias methods in JS.


@Victor Sant and @Yanfly are familiar of those methods since they are working with RM since the XP era.

This is really bad, to any community. But I think that the best thing we can do is use this as learning. buy some material without thinking twice is something that cannot be done. is best expect the feedback of more people about the material/pack of something, is good to take precautions before buy online.

And I'm not bashing your opinion. as I respect everyone's opinions but, I'm getting a vibe from this topic and what have you that buying/using community made resources is generally safe, even if they aren't in the RPG Maker Store.


Just because one guy managed to pull of such a scam twice shouldn't sully the reputation of the rest of the community who are doing honest work.


Your analogy works best for those kinds of shady dealings like the ones in your example.


But I just can't believe that this is a normal occurrence.  I think we have a pretty honest community here.

There will always be a few bad apples. There have been a few incidents of dishonesty over the years, but it fails to eclipse the generosity of a myriad of talented creators. Most of the resources on this site are perfectly safe and crafted with care.  And, I wouldn't dare try to imagine our community without our content creators. However, it's completely healthy to express some skepticism; even more so when your money is getting involved. There are a lot of dodgy pages out there that are simply rounding up artwork and dumping them into compilations and zips without any trace of credits or leading back to their direct original source. Or, worse!


If anyone is ever suspect of a resource or a site, even just a little; ask. Many of the members here are extremely savvy with the library of community-made resources.

Well, I believe it's to get around some of the stuff that PayPal does when it comes to charges and wait times. Not an inherently dodgy sign in and of itself - people don't like waiting and losing money to big corporations, and marking as personal or gift is an easy way to get around that, but it does open the payer up to being scammed. Only do it if you trust the person in question, but keep in mind that by itself it isn't a sign of wrongdoings on the askers part.

I needed a demo project with his plugin working, to test compatibility. I couldn't make his fog system work at all.


Edit: got it working by downgrading MV. Looks like it's not compatible with 1.2

Ahhh, I see. I only used a portion of the plugin, and hadn't tried the fog part yet. Do you still need a demo project? I can throw something together.

So pretty much it will function like Kaus's? I know that his plug in required a second plugin to work. Called KSU ParallaxSmoothing.


But pretty just swap out plugins and nothing else?
