Imported Assets are wrong sizes

Hi. I recently got RPG Maker VX Ace Lite to make silly meme fight to show my friends, but I'm having issues. The battle background I try to import is so small it just sits in the corner, and my enemy sprites are so large that I can't show anything more than a belt buckle. Any advice?

I'll move you to VX Ace support, as this was in VX support. And yep, we got two engines with similar names.

As it is your sprite is probably not int he right format. You need to either put a $ in front of the name if you only have one set of sprites, or you need a full set of 8 of them. Also it will still show up wrong size in editor but should be correct in playtest as the editor will only show a 32 x 32 piece of it.

depends on why the reources are the wrong size.

however if your pictures were originally for a different engine, then you have to use an image program like GIMP or Photoshop to change their size before adding them to your program.
For example MV and MZ have a grid size of 48x48, but XP, VX and VXAce have a grid size of 32x32 pixel. you need to edit tiles with the wrong grid size before being able to use them.

Either they are the wrong resources, or they are the wrong size.
