Importing my own custom Sprite and selection goes Odd

Tough one to explain here, but could anybody point me as to what might be wrong with my png file?

It's a single sprite, so you need to make sure to put $ in front of the file name. This will tell the engine that it's a single sprite, rather than a sprite sheet with 8 sprites.
