Hello friends, I'm new to RPG Maker MV in general and wish to use some AX tilesets. So far, I've already converted them to 48x48 size but have no idea how to import them properly into A1, A2, A3, B, C, D, etc. since they're just single images as opposed to the base tiles which are already separated by their category. Every time I try inputting the image into a slot, the resulting tiles either come out stacked, glitched, or cut off from the bottom part of the image.

Here's a sample of a tileset I'm trying to import. Help is appreciated.

Hi!

The tilesets of MV work a bit differently from XP (which I suppose you're generally using)

So, the letters simulate kind of different Layers. The A Page are Autotiles, don't use this for your tileset. I'm not going too in-dept now.

B - E are all possibilities to import your own tilesets.

Now - you have to edit it to fit it into a 768px wide image. The maker reads it as  2 columns (2 x 384px, which is 8 x 48px). Also, your image must not be bigger than 768px in height as well.

Have a look at the RTP tilesets, that might give you an idea on how to edit your file and make it useable.

Hope that helped, feel free to ask back if needed.

You can't do it this way.

Each tilesheet has a fixed size with fixed definitions on where what kind of tile has to be located.

And there are six different formats - a tilesheet formatted for A1 will not fit into the A3 slot for example.

You can check the formats in the help file, or you can simply export one of the existing tilesheets and replace one tile with another on each sheet until you have the tileset you want.

If you place tiles outside the existing part of the tilesheet picture, they will simply be ignored.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
