    Try to edit the manual .txt file in UTF-8 format; when saving the file, you have the option to do so. Unicode format is problematic with this plugin if you use symbols or accents.

    Does anyone know how to open this Manual from Yanfly's Main Menu Manager? I know by default it already appears in menu, but not in the right order i want. So i need to move it to another position in the menu, but cannot use SceneManager to call this Scene_Manual.

    Open it up through plugins in a common event, then attach it to the menu as a coomon event.
    And in the plugin parameters make sure in "Show in Menu" is blank.

    I did this once, and it worked. However, the problem is when you close the Manual Menu, it moves straight to game screen instead of moving back to main menu.

    In the common event after the plugin command to open the event.
    Put the event command "Open Main Menu"
    It's in the event command on tab 3.

    I know what your point is, but doing this makes the menu transition look unnatural. But i guess there is no way else. Thank you for your help :cutesmile:

    @JamesRyan there's a way to get in Yanfly's Main Menu however you're going to have to edit the code of the plugin, it's not alot but you're going to have to.

    So in the ARP Manual you need to do this:
    Screenshot (27).png

    which is comment out lines 325 - 327
    and write:
    var parameters = PluginManager.parameters('ARP_InGameManual');
    under it.

    Then in ARP make sure that theese are your settings:
    Screenshot (28).png

    Just make sure that "Show in Menu" has entries with the ";"

    Then in the Yanfly's Main Manger Core do this:
    Screenshot (29).png

    The Main Bind Code is this:
    this.commandGameManual.bind(this, String(PluginManager.parameters('ARP_InGameManual')['Show In Menu'] || '').split(';')[0])

    the number at the end ie [0], is the the postion the symbol name in the "Show in Menu" is minus 1 ie if in the "Show in Menu" has this:
    "manual;name;lore"
    the numbers for them would be"
    manaul = 0
    name = 1
    lore = 2

    And lastly your plugins need to look like this:
    Screenshot (30).png

    with ARP manual over all the yanfly plugins.

    This looks like a great resource to have in certain games. It's unfortunate that it seems the original creator is no longer responding, but it does seem functional enough for a basic manual setup for me at least :)

    @Zarsla Thanks for your solution. It is working like a charm now.
    By the way, this might be off-topic, but I still want to ask you how to implement Continue command to Main Menu this way. I have a plan to remove Save command from Main Menu and only let players to Load their save files there. It is easy to use common event, but i dont want to because of the same transition problem with this Game Manual. Below is what i did before, but it always gave me an error:

    @JamesRyan it's not going to work because the continue command is not a function of the Main Menu Scene. To do that, you would need to make it a function of the "Originals Command Function" and make it where it's not seen by default and then put it in Yanfly's Main Menu Manager.

    I tried to do it once (mimicked the Save command), but it seemed that i was missing something so it did not work (I do not have much knowledge about JS, just some basic things). So could you please tell me how to do it?

    Edited: Done with Load command in Menu.

    A question already asked before in this thread, but is there a way to enable Word Wrapping? Specifically in tandem with Yanfly's Message Core, perhaps? Placed above or below, it does not seem to want to interact...

    Is there anyway to open the manual to a specific sub entry? I don't see it in the plugin commands.

    Is there a way to make this option available through Options vs the menu?

    Did you figure it out? I can´t get past this exact error. Have tried everything mentioned in this thread, including controlling and testing the file name, the "main entries"...

    On the first line of your manual file, make sure it reads something like

    <main entries> Introduction; Background Story; Characters;

    etc, replace those items with with your entries you defined.

    Not to come off as necropost content (for obvious reasons) but when I recently finished working off an export I seem to have run into a major issue with this plugin. Not sure if it's related to other plugins or not (considering most of 'em are considered "priority critical" - obviously including this one - and the only potential issue being Orange Greenworks because of the nwjs upgrade it requires) but when I recently put my work through export it loads the manual properly yet still fails to account for the custom background even though it's in the proper place. Specifically, it's telling me that it can't find the background image (fieldguide.png in my case) even though I haven't changed where the image is located or messed with the plugin itself.

    For the record, it still loads the manual as usual but the background is completely blank and fails almost immediately even despite that it's totally, 100% there... and then it hits me with the following message:

    Failed to load: img/system/fieldguide.png

    If it works better (in terms of procedure or whatever else) I can extend or move this to its own discussion but suffice to say that my experience with this issue has just recently started, and going without the background change didn't work either. That and I haven't done anything with manual.txt. A list of my active plugins can be provided on request if it helps to figure this out.
