So I want to make a tutorial in-game like Final Fantasy. So here is what I want to happen

Friend: Hey Player you should first learn how to access the menu. To open the menu you must press ESC.

[Player must press ESC button to continue the event]

Friend: Good! You can exit the menu by pressing ESC again.

I think there are some script like that out there but I keep searching on google, on this forums and other websites that is related to RPG Maker but still can't find anything.

I don't know if this question is easy to solve so I'm sorry.

Since I am already seeking help for that. I would also like to ask if in-battle tutorials are possible like in Final Fantasy where it will force you to attack the enemy.

Tsukihime wrote a script to enable common events during menu scenes, but I don't know if that is enough for such a help system...

Thanks! I'll go check it out :D

Not sure about the first, just asking for the player to press Esc, making it wait until he does, show a picture of the menu, t=play the second message and erase picture when the player press Esc isn't enough?

About the second, there is a tutorial about just that here: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/27762-how-to-make-a-custom-battle-scene-with-forced-inputs/

warninf, uses scripts a bit.
Yeah it looks complicated :guffaw: Thanks for giving a link :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
