SYNOPSIS

In the Shadows is a 1-bit atmospheric horror game following a woman that has been tasked with a simple request: “Bring him the key.”. The home is familiar, however, there is someone or something lurking in the shadows. Will you do as you’re told or will you be swallowed up in ignorance?

All original tilework and sprites!

Game features numerous endings, as well as multiple solutions. Avoid being caught up in the silence, or be faced with the mysterious lurker.

Search your surroundings to uncover the truth.

Game contains allusions to violence and disturbing situations. Not intended for children

DEVELOPER NOTES
This is my first game, and as such I haven't been able to test out the execution/compression as much as I'd like. Please let me know if you have any issues downloading it. I’m happy to receive any feedback or criticisms! I will be updating the game to fix any bugs or glitches!

Heyo!

I just updated the game and made several fixes based on the feedback I received. There are still a few things I need to work on with RPGXP, but I think these updates are pretty solid. Please let me know what you think! I hope you have fun!

1. Monster takes longer to appear to allow more breathing room.
2. Monster will not appear while reading notes.
3. Closet key has been fixed.
4. Death will take you to a Continue screen instead of game over.
