Hello, I've searched around and could not find a plugin that allowed in combat passive conversation.
To be more specific I want party members and enemies make humorous/combat related comments regarding the situation they are in. Here is an spoof image I've made up to show an example:.

Naturally I would request the text to be from the engine itself like the show text command uses. The ability to assign a colour to it aswell would be exceptional to help distinguish whom is speaking i.e Red for enemies, white for party members or there own unique colours.

What would be fun is to have the ability to create small talk in response to certain occasions, such as:
  • Battle starting/Battle concluded I.E winner saying something before the battle results show or the game over screen shows.
  • Fleeing/Fail to flee
  • An ally ability used I.E Healing
  • An assault-type ability used
  • Basic Attacks
  • Defending
  • Wounded
  • Response to being hit
  • Response to missing I.E Insulting the attacker
  • Critical hits
  • Dying I.E "Well...that's it for me!"
I think this would make combat really fun with the added bonus of assigning a multitude of random assorted dialogue for each circumstance, I'm not programmer but if this where to be formulated via the plugin option perhaps assigning a party ID or enemy ID the set conversations to be used or maybe through the party member/enemy's note.

I realize there is indeed a show text command in the troop conditions sub menu but that may seem a little to complicated and crowded to manage each-that and having the flow of combat interupted with the chat windows instead of having text simply coming and going during the battle.

If I've missed anything please let me know- I'd really like to add this to my project.

The instructions for Gab Window do say it works in combat so should do what you're looking for, to an extent. You'd have to tweak it a bit to more easily allow for displaying the message above certain people's heads though.

Seems to be on the path, but very problematic in how it's handled. It works for over world but not in combat it seems. There must be a simpler way to asign dialogue dependant on combat outcomes to character/enemy ID.

If you don't have anything by the time I come back from my holiday in 3 weeks I might see if I can make a plugin that does this, it looks fun and something that would be useful for a lot of people.

I'm a patient man with alot of other things to work on in the meantime, I'll be experimenting with this plugin to fully see it's potential.
I believe it'll be a useful asset to many others including me as a specific battle orientated speech plugin- if anyone remembers old RPG's such as Fallout 1-2 it was cool to see reactions- some very vulgar during combat.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
