Incredible Journey Mapping/Screenshot Contest

Everyone needs a nite out at the theatre everyone and a while.

All the tiles are from Enterbrain a most of from Ace RTP with a few from the XP RTP set.

The characters are just random ones from my project.

You can't see it here, but the fountains animate, they die down and grow back to full height in a cycle from the bottom to the top.


The story behind the scene is that your team never really gets a chance to relax, so when a flea market was being held Eric and Sarah grabbed the opportunity to enjoy some shopping. They are looking over the items people decided to sell(laughing at some of the stuff) and stocking up some stuff they needed. I threw in a little bit of a twist though, young Eric and adult Eric are both present, and 3 of the people running stalls are actually the members of the Society that first tried to recruit Eric at the very start.


Everything is either directly from the RTP or, in the case of Sarah, the 3 Society members, and both versions of Eric, was from the Character Generator and used RTP parts.

Wuh, I got it finished in time!

I was already trying out the western tileset for a small project, but this little town I made specifically for the contest. I thought, the heroes (the three guys on the left, although they would not call themselves heroes...) would like to visit a Wild West town after journeying through canyons, deserts and what not ^^ But a resting place can also be dangerous, if you are not careful. Especially in a Wild West town. Trouble is just waiting to happen and since the heroes are kind of troublemakers themselves, I thought they would enjoy this place.

I hope, it is okay that I used those sprites, I edited them myself. I'm trying a mack sprite variant, making them taller and thinner, recoloring a bit, but I don't know, if this is allowed. I haven't gotten around to the part to give them more wild west clothing for my project since it is still in a very early phase. If it is not okay, I swap them out for rtp sprites, no problem.

A potential pub I may add somewhere in my current game.  The local tavern is always a great place to relax and see what gossip there is around town.  Also, gotta make sure the ale stays protected in case some patrons get unruly!

The brave RMVXA-RTP warriors have been fighting long and hard for us!

After discovering a new land (because I just purchased VX Samurai pack during this sale xD), the band of heroes has taken a day off at a mountainside bathhouse.

With a view of the sunset in the distance and the warmth of summer filling the air, our heroes will surely leave revitalized and ready to explore.

This is my first real map, I hope you like it =D

Not a particularly stunning area in itself but the only one where Ian and his girlfriend can feel good.
