Hello everyone !

I am using the Yanfly's CTB plugin since a long time ( http://yanfly.moe/2015/12/05/yep-38-battle-system-charge-turn-battle/ ) and I need some help about understanding what is a tick.
Don't get me wrong : since now, I've used well this plugin and my battles are good, but I think I can slightly improve that on the question of the turns count. ( I want to have full power on the turn counts as for the states for example ).

Could someone please help me with that, by answering the following questions :

- what is a tick ?
- in the CTB's plugin parameters, what is "speed". And how do I calculate that ???
- in the plugin's parameters too, what is the "rubberband" ??

So if you don't know CTB is based of off yanfly's ATB and alot of stuff got carried over. Ticks are what turns are divided into. So each battler's turn is divided in ticks, and as you see in ATB, it cause a gauge to fill up. That first gauge filling up is what determines turn order,. The second gauge in ATB, you can think of being all ready filled. Theese gauges you can't see and instead you have the turn order indicator.
The speed of the person determines how fast that bar fills up. And thus turn order.

Okay good to know, thank you @Zarsla ! But all that makes the CTB system not a very good system, because balancing will never be perfect. I mean by that that the control we have as developers on these gauges and ticks is limited.
The STB system is better (but I can't use it sadly).

It would have been good for example if turns could have been reduced to actions : one turn is one action, whatever is the actor that made the action (ally or enemy). That could have been perfect. And to determine the order of the turns, a calculation based on agility (or a custom stat) at the beginning of the battle. Each change of agility of a character or a change or turn order would make a new calculation based on the new aspects, and at the end of the states or whatever that changed the turns, a new calculation to return to the first state of turns.

May I ask why you can't use STB?
May I recommend ITB by DreamX it's STB but built off of Yanfly's CTB.

I have tried STB and I prefer it, but seems like STB has less compatibility that CTB with the non-Yanfly's plugins I use.
I used ITB before using Yanfly's CTB. I will download it again and see if it is compatible with my plugins :)

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
