Insert text in a battle?

okay before anyone says im a noob im not lol

i cannot for the love of god figure out how to insert

text from like a party member in a battle???

what i do is a cutscene triggers a battle a very specific troop

(this troop is only going to be used once)

on the troop tab i put down some text and it doesnt work

i would like the text to appear after the first turn.

HOW DO YOU DO THIS?!?!?!?!

Try making a new page and set the condition to Turn 1 +1 *X and set the span to turn.  That should allow you to insert text after a turn.  If you only want the text to show once, all you'd have to do condition the text with a switch and turn it off after the text shows.

The conditions for battle events can be pretty confusing.

there is no "turn" available in "conditional branch"

When I said set the condition to Turn 1 +1 *X and set the span to turn I meant at the top of your battle event page in the condition tab.  I wasn't meaning in a "conditional branch" so sorry if I wasn't more clear about that.

You could use a normal conditional branch though to limit the text to only being displayed once by using a switch.  Just write something like this into the battle event after you create the page.

Condition: Switch[Text] = OFF

Show Text

Control Switches: [Text] = ON

Branch: End

I should also point out there is a page condition that allows you to trigger events at the end of a turn also.  After re-reading your post that may actually be better suited than the page condition I gave you earlier, since that will display the text right as the turn begins.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
