Inside a Map #2 - Self-Destruction??? RUN!!!

Well, ZoroarX here making a fast question to get a fast answer! During Heroes RPG 2 - The Rage of Darktar, there will be a self-destruction scene and you'll run super fast! But you'll have a minute before it blows up. So my question is: How do I set a time to that event of destruction happen and the player have to try it again?

ok, this is just a very basic countdown setup. yours will be better. all i did was make a common event called destruction with parralel proccess called with a switch named timer1.

then i put a control switch command in the treasure chest.

 opening the chest turns on the switch thus turning on the common event. 

when the timer reaches zero the screen flashes and game over lol.

obviously there is a whole lot more you could do with this, including flashing the screen red when the timer gets low. i hope this is some help to you and sets you in the direction you want. good luck.

i haven't tried it yet but from the screen shots it looks really good. i'm going to check it now.

Well, how do I stop the timer and how do I make the timer work in multiple rooms without restarting it?

this sript looks to have everything you want. pausing the timer resuming it.


check out this script and i think it'll do what you need.

 

edit

so useing the script calls inside your transfer map event you could pause the timer till you got on to the other map. or if you have the player hitting switches as they go through rooms they could add/subtract time, pause it or any number of things. but i definitely would use that script. i know i will XD
