We've got a really fantastic new music pack for you guys today. Jake, the creator of Inspirational Vol. 1, presents a brand new music pack. In Vol. 2, the emphasis is on more modern settings: adventure, action, horror and the emotional. Besides the modern, the melodies also fit a steampunk or science fiction/futuristic settings.

Credits to the wonderful cover art go to Hirei. :)

You can read more about this versatile pack, as well as hear some fantastic samples right here.

Lastly, Jake has a poll on his website. He'd love to have your opinions about what kind of style his next music pack should focus on.

LOL!  Okay, so this one is quite interesting.  Let me just say it's really well done.  The notes are recognizable, everything is mixed well and the tracks are really good, however, there is something strange about the style in general.  When I first started to listen to the demos, I got 2 seconds into the music before an expectation hit me.  The musical style sounded like music that would have lyrics attached to them.  I half-expected a person to start singing!  It was something that was quite interesting to expect, something you don't typically expect of RPG Maker music packs, but it seriously does.  Now, that's not that say the music is bad at all.  As I said, the mixing is done well, the tracks are great and everything can be heard, but the style, for me, didn't fit RPG Maker, unless it's used for say, ending music with lyrics.  Like, these could be back tracks for lyrical music.

So, while it's not something I can see myself using, perhaps others won't be hit with this stigma of use and use it in their projects and perhaps they can find places for it in their projects where it will fit perfectly.  Well done on some well crafted music Jake!

I could see myself using this since it's my type of music haha. It's pretty melodical :D

These sound super awesome! Gosh I'd want them, but I have absolutely no use for them.

Get me some cheerful, facebook-social-game-wannabe music, and I'll be all over it.

Great music pack. I could definitely see them being used in a few of my projects.

The art is ok though...

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I am so sorry to be this late but I finally found my way to the forums! :)

@djDarkX: Thank you for your criticism, much appreciated! I agree with you, it was the first time I did gituar based music and given the chord progressions I used it almost sounds like a song, who knows maybe I can write up some lyrics and have someone sing them, thanks for the inspiration!

@Archeia: Thank you very much for your kind words and your support!

@Celianna: Thank you for your kind words! Is there still a need for "cheerful, facebook-social-game-wannabe music"? If so, I would be delighted to give it a try and release a  "cheerful, facebook-social-game-wannabe" music pack soon.

@Hirei: Thank you for the wonderful art Hirei and thank you for your support!

@Boxshark: I am sad to hear that the music doesn't please you, but then again, without constructive criticism I can't do anything to improve and eventually change your mind with my next music pack...

@Digital Religion: I am so glad to get some feedback on the first volume! Thank you very much, I am delighted to hear you like both packs!

I ve bought a lot of music packs because I have this obsession with finding the perfect music for every situation, and I started with your horror pack. Nightmare pack I think, that already got me thinking
that "damn this is something"
But now i bought this pack and for me this is on a whole another level from other music packs.
For every song i could find a situation i want to put it in, which for me is not so common with other packs.
they're mostly good but one or two songs are always "meh" for me, but this one is perfect for me!
thank you for producing all that goodness :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
