Interaction with Map Item

I having problem with the interaction with the map items now.

What's my problem? Basically I wan to do like when i press Z to a mirror, and my character would say : "It's just a mirror."

Can someone help me with this? I really appreciate it. :D

Maybe I'm missing something but it sounds to me like you just need to set it up as a basic event.  Could you shed some light and tell us what you've already tried so we can understand better how to help you?

Sorry if I annoyed you.Because I m newbie .. hehe
I tried put events on the mirror, when the player interact with the mirror it still nothing happen.


This is the example of the things i wan to do, if I click on the door, and it will say something. Of course this game is not made from RPG maker.

Either

1. Make the mirror an event directly from the Graphics section, with a Same As Characters Priority (this is really important). Example.

2. Make a tile with what you have (in this case a mirror), set a blank event to have a Same as Characters Priority, and place it on the tile. Like so.

You didn't annoy me.  I just wasn't sure if that's what you were asking or not. 

This is really just a matter of a very basic event. Arin showed you a couple of ways you can do it.  But truthfully, this is the most basic element of making a game, so if you are unsure on how to do this, I would strongly recommend reading through some tutorials.

One more info:

The Z button is not the Z key on the keyboard.

Check the game configuration ingame for the correct keyboard mapping.

Before closing this, the issue was that you made an event with no event graphic, and those, by default, stay as 'below characters'. That means the player has to stand on top of the event to activate it. Change it to 'same as characters' and then the player can activate it simply by standing next to it.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
