Hey, I'm new to game making in general, but I've been wanting to develop a game for a while. I've been animating for about 8 years and for the beginning of my game, I was wondering if there was a way to implement a beginning cutscene(via toonboom harmony), but make it more interactive?
I was thinking along the terms of Animated gifs aligned with text, and each time the player presses the enter, a new scene fades in.
It's kind of hard to explain via text, so here's a visual of what I'm asking; 1638589947855.png

I have no idea what toonboom harmony is, but afaik MV does not use gifs. You could play movies, or you could use pictures, or you could use events with very large sprites.

and cutscenes in events can be as interactive as you want - the event command "show choice" is exactly for this, you give the player a choice and then do different sequences depending on what the player had chosen.

Fun fact. Today it's exactly 2600 days since I met my now gf for the first time. Sometimes being a programmer can be really useful. O:)
Is RPG Maker VX (rgss2) still relevant? xD
