I'm sorry before, I know this question is really common. But I really need to know about this. I've been working on my project for 70% now but still I can't create an intro. I was looking on this forum search box but the result is too general and can't found it.

How to make a wall of text that scrolling up and can be skipped/can't be? Just like on credit screen, how to make it? Are there any special script for this on RMXP, or it's just use eventing?

Thanks.

Simplest solution would be to create a picture for the text crawl and then just controlling the thing via events. I haven't used RMXP in a long time, but I remember there being a script that extended the message system's functionality to support scrolling. Personally if it's just for the intro, I'd go with the picture solution.

Create a picture with the text you wish to show, and use the Move Picture command to have it move upwards/downwards then once it's over, use the Erase Picture. If you want to be skip-able, have a parallel process event with a conditional branch if Button A was pressed, then the picture would be erased and the rest of the events would follow.

Ok thank you for your response.. I really appreciate it. Yes, I'm looking for simplest way, as long as I can use event command, I won't use any script. :)

Ahh I see.. Sorry, I didn't think about those idea yet, so it looks hard to find a way to made it. Now I see that it's kinda simple. :D

I can imagine hundreds of storyline, or drawing artwork, but sometimes I can't even finish a single event for hours. ^^

Thanks so much for your reply, Miss Nile. It helps me alot.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
