I'm working on my RPG, but just about all the default graphics and sound files are not in the folders. Oddly enough, the game has them and they work fine, but the folders are empty. Is there any way to fix?

Edit: Got it! Thanks!

The RTP is stored differently, because it is available to all people - no need to uselessly increase the project size by including those files into a project.

If you want to edit something of the RTP, go to the resource manager and export it, then edit and reimport - if a file in the project folder has the same name as an RTP file, it automatically takes priority.

If you want to include the original RTP itself before distributing the game, just check the "include RTP" when you compress the archive for distribution. It adds about 200MB in case of Ace.

The files in the game's folder are for custom stuff you add.  The default stuff is located elsewhere.  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Enterbrain\RGSS3" is usually the default location where you can find them.

It's recommended that you do not replace these files and instead put a copy of what you're using in the game's folder if you do decide to edit something, because otherwise it would affect all projects.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
