Is anyone else unable to launch the program with multiple monitors?

I've driven myself crazy trying to get the program to run (steam version) for a few days now, and it seems I found the solution. Turns out that the game isn't a fan of multiple monitors, and doesn't want to launch unless I unplug my second monitor first. I can plug my second monitor back in without issue, thankfully.

But this has led me to wonder, is this a common problem? Does this only happen with the steam version or does the standalone version also have this issue?

I use the Steam version, and I have multiple monitors, but I've never experienced the issue that you are describing.

I also have 2 monitors and the Steam version works fine for me. Are you talking about RPG maker itself or a game made with it? If it's a game made with it, maybe ask the developers if they have any code in the game that would be affected by the number of monitors?

This is a well-known issue with threads going back pretty much to when MV released. I'm not sure why it was never fixed with the various product patches.

For most people, it doesn't cause any problems so long as you leave MV on your primary display - the problems I've seen were all when it was moved to the secondary display, at which point there are various glitches and hangs until it's reset back to the primary monitor.

If you're experiencing problems just using it on your primary display...I'm not sure what to say. That's unfortunate.

You certainly don't need to mess with unplugging your other monitor, though, you can just disable it in Windows.
