Is it possible to change actor graphic when death state occurs

I would have finished the sentence in the title but character limit, sorry.. But anyways I have the YEA Battle Engine and the YEA Visual Battlers and I noticed in my battles that my sprites just continue moving like if they're didn't die even though they did, I tried various things to try to switch the actor graphic to a coffin when the death state occurs but I can't seem to get it working. Idk if it's even possible so I'm wondering if it is. If so then I'll try to post a question about how so I don't potentially have a question in the wrong forum or something..

this is script support, nd it sounds as if one of your scripts broke the engine.

please provide links to the websites of all the scripts you're using as well as a screenshot of the materials list of your script editor.

It also means that if anyone in the future has the same sort of query, they will be unable to find this and (hopefully) the solution.


It would, therefore, be helpful if, in addition to editing your post to include the links that Andar mentioned, you also edited your title.

Erm.. That's a lot of links.. I have my scripts categorized to group with other scripts made by the same person, would that work instead of listing all the links? if not then I'll list the links though it may take a while...

ok, and sorry for not seeing that before I put my screenshots, I'll try to figure out a different title and I'll gather all the links after I get back from the store (I figured I'd mention it so it's not a surprise if it takes over any hour to provide links).

I think I just found a solution, I downloaded jet's viewed battle system and removed the Yanfly battle engine as well as visual battlers and set the state sprite for the character so now not only does the sprite leave the screen when it dies, a coffin pops up as it fades. Although the death isn't quite what I wanted, I'll tinker around to see how to make the coffin stay. So I think I'll request the thread to be closed (though I don't really know how to request such so I'm kinda grasping at straws at that).
In case of if anyone comes across this and wonders how I did the state sprite thing, I used the sprite stitcher from character creator studio and put the chosen sprite (coffin sprite in my case) and then clicked stitch. I had the sprite sheet for the state be named Elena_Death (Elena being the name of actor 1) and put the sprite sheet into character graphics before setting the state sprite for actor 1 in jet's script to "_Death".
