Is it possible to change the animation speed for the player sprites?

I'm wanting to work on a game, but I can't really get past how slow the player sprite animations move. Is there a plugin or method using event blocks to increase the speed of the animation?

To clarify, I'm not referring to how fast the player MOVES on maps, but how fast the walk animation plays.

I'm not sure if this would satisfy your objective, but you can change player frequency via a move route event. Once you set it, (if I am remembering correctly) it becomes global. (It may of may not reset when changing maps, I can't recall.)

I do believe that increases the speed of the walk animation. (although I have been studying a lot lately and it isn't fresh in my mind, I may be wrong)

Thank you for the reply.

I tried changing the player frequency and adding an erase event command (it prevent the player from moving otherwise) but I don't notice a difference.

EDIT:
Here's how I have the event block if it can come in handy.

Your right, frequency seems to have no effect on the player only NPC's. I don't know how you could increase the player walk animation speed. It likely involves a plugin. (more frames?)

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
