Is it possible to disable MOST of the menus except Items?

Is it possible to disable access to status menus, and magic menus, and equipment menu, and just strip it down to Items only? Or should I make a custom HUD for that? I just want the player to be able to look at the gold in their possession and the items they have. Literally nothing else is required of the menu in MOST of my games...

Do you need to actually equip stuff? Or do you really not need the equip menu? If all you need are usable items it's rather simple I'm pretty sure I could write something like that ...

Literally the only thing I need for my games is an Item menu. I don't use equipments, and i don't have status's, nor anything else extraneous. I simply need an item and gold menu. I was thinking of mocking up a hud, but that clutters the screen, in my opinion.

So the go to item screen part is done I'll just add the gold window somewhere ^^ will you pick up stuff other than items (armor weapons keyitems) ?

Well, I was thinking just items. But maybe key items, instead, so they can't get used and wasted somehow.

Would it be a difficult task to somehow make it so the end-user could modify the script to include armor weapons and/or key items? I realize this is probably far beyond the original intent of the script, but in nearly all of my games, I just disable access to the menus because I usually only use 1 or two of them at any time. (I am the heretic who doesn't make RPGs) :p

I am digressing, thank you for the script, I can only offer a special thanks in the credits and my gratitude at this time.

I've moved this thread to RGSS3 Script Requests. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Go to the Window_MenuCommand script and comment out all the add_command lines for things you don't want. So lines 48, 49, 50, 56. Assuming you want to keep the Save and End options.

Oops, sorry Shaz. I did't think about the Ruby aspect...

I just have 2 quick questions:

Why are you people so awesome? And where's the beef?

For this project that is exactly what I am looking for MeowFace! If I wanted to add armor and weapons for some reason would I just 'add_command(Vocab::weapon,     :weapon)' or would adding extra lines break the whole thing?

The add_command refers to methods that have been written in the script to handle those commands. You can't just add anything you like - you've got to make sure the functions to process the command are there as well.

So in that case, you'd either see a command for Weapon, but the game would crash when you selected it, or the game would just crash when you tried to start it. I suspect the first thing would happen, because you have no function in Scene_Menu called weapon.

That's a direct access to the item scene but with extra command for exiting the game. I am not sure if directly adding the equip command will work or not, been awhile since i made that script so i am not going to trust my memory on what i did with the item scene, but you can try and let me know if it fail/success. I'll see what i can do after that.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
