Is it possible to make a check type system?

I had this idea for combat where you could "check" an enemy, and once you do you unlock some attack for that enemy. Would that be possible for mv without having to know a ton of coding?

@CluelessCat, did you mean like a mimic skill ? It is possible. Could you please describe in more detail ?

@Kupotepo not really a mimic skill per se. I have this character that has the power to make costumes in battle and can use them as an attack. However, he needs their measurements first. I was thinking he would have to "check" enemies for their measurements with a slight chance of failing. If he succeeds then he gets some extra attack options.

First, create a skill called "check." In skill's invocation section, the "Success:" box will allow you to pick how chance does want the skill to success in percentage. In the skill "Formula:", you need {this a.addState(id of state);}
Next, pick 1 Enemy in a scope.
Finally, create a state called "extra attack" In state's trait, pick other, then Action Time + 100%

If you want this skill not to cost a turn, you need Yanfly instant cast. http://yanfly.moe/2015/10/30/yep-22-instant-cast-2/

I hope that would be correct.
