Basically is it possible to make a 2d fighter like Street fighter in vx ace?
Its a start!
A space shooter is much more simplistic than a fighting game, though. For a fighting game you'll want extremely responsive gameplay that works with multiple button inputs at the same time to allow for special moves. You need a roster of characters that are all balanced against each other. You need very precise hitboxes so characters aren't hit when the opponent strikes air and characters should get hit when they do get struck. Moves need to have their hits registered upon certain frames to balance against other moves and make them feel like a real hit.If someone can make a space shooter game in RPGMaker, I figure about anything is possible. Look up earth under attack to see what I'm talking about.
