I.e. is it possible to make something like this?

Or something similar like replacing maps with only backdrops(parallax) and with simple commands like moving left and right to another scene or interact with something since I am deciding to make a visual novel game.

A similar plugin has been developed for RPG MV but I have never seen one for VX Ace so far.  :(

I am a newbie to RPG Maker btw.

It's called parallax mapping in VXA, you should be able to find a few of those scripts in the master script list.

edit:

or, from what you show in that picture, it looks like a 3D maze engine too. you should be able to find those in the master script list as well.

But if you wish to create your own scenes, then the only way is to learn ruby and rgss3 and create them via scripts of your own. that's the only way i know of making new scenes for RM series. So instead of making your game in RM, it's best you try some other game maker that allow you to create scene/ui/hud/menu freely. (a short detailed explanation can be found here)

I can't find that 3d maze engine you spoke of  :|  Is it some random dungeon generator or something? (BTW that screenshot with maze-like thingy there is from a game called Corpse Party)

And I thought Parallax Mapping is to add some images on top of a map or to make a map more of a 3D feel, while the thing I need is something like this:

(I use the choice feature to make the town interactive whereupon I enter this scene, and I wonder how can we navigate around the scene, or if there is a script for it, just like how to make those white arrows I artificially inserted to be technically usable, as in pressing the left arrow can lead you to West Market and right arrow can lead you to East Townhall, for example.)

Parallax Mapping = Using a full drawn image as BG, you then add restricted area to where the player can move/can't from there.

If you just want a picture shown, all you need is the event show picture command, that's the easiest way to build your visual novel and only need 1 map, the rest is a long long conditional branches of events.

edit:

And like i said before, RM series is never meant to be for game making outside of the classic turn based rpg. It lacks a lot of functions other game maker is supporting. In this case, for a visual novel, a game maker with graphical flow chart support will make your life easier in debugging and error spotting. Especially when you need to set up conditional branches and flags and loops of certain events and speech.

eg, hp/mp auto-recovery "script"

Oh okay I must have been half-asleep when I read your previous reply and now I get the parallax mapping part  :D  Yeah I chose RPG Maker because it's really cheap(You know, SteamOS frenzied major discount) and easily usable. Likewise I am growing more accustomed to it and feel a bit reluctant to find another game maker which I am not entirely interested at the meantime, considering the little time I have as an always-having-assignments-and-god-forsaken-never-ending-examinations full time law student. Anyway thank you for your most fervent assistance :3 Consider this solved.

That's exactly why choosing the right game tool is important. You can't imagine how long a "script" (dialog) is of a visual novel near end of production. And to find a bug or bad loop from there reading just words can be real pain. Especially how RM series build their event pages, it's not going to be "easy to read" nor it's going to make it easy to find your bug. A debug process of 10 hours on a flow chart might just take few days to few weeks on RM page based eventing commands if you get what i mean. ;)

Yeah I chose RPG Maker because it's really cheap.
GG Maker (aka engine 001) has its free version that export to pc only. A lot more freedom than the VXA free version imo. So you can give that a try or simply use that if you do not plan to export to another platform other than pc. You can easily build shooting game/action rpg/racing game/tower defence/platformer with it, as the engine is not restricted to building single genre of game like RM series. You can easily build a visual novel using GG Maker as well, as you can see the flow chart script dialog system is there. And the freedom to create UI/HUD/Menu Interface using wysiwyg graphic tool give you full control on how you want to present your game to your clients.

What you want up there can be done 100% in the interface section, and building your own navigating system using arrow keys/mouse for your player isn't hard at all in GG Maker. And you don't have to learn any languages to build scripts there, all are done by mouse clicks and graphical supported flow chart building ;)

Anyway thank you for your most fervent assistance :3 Consider this solved.
You're welcome! Glad to be of help!

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
