So i downloaded the trial versioin of rpg maker vx in order to reduce the exp req for some charcters in a game since im spending far more time grinding than anything else, but the thing keeps telling me that my t30 day trial has expired even though this is the first time i've actually had it on my computer. I'm about ready to simply give up on trying to get vx to work but i'm not going to buy just to modify 1 game to reduce the amount of grinding. i downloaded a trial version of 1.02 elsewehre and it didn't give me the 30 day expiration notice however apparently the game  was made on a later version of vx than 1.02.

First, are you talking about VX or VXA?

Usually that message happens if you had installed the trial at some time in the past but forgotten it.

There are  only two other possibilities where this message can come up, and you won't like either of them:

1) Your windows has a damaged or overloaded registry and can no longer save data into it. If that is the case, you should already have gotten to other problems in windows with other programs and drivers - and the only solution to that is to delete reinstall the entire windows.

Basically the longer Windows exists, the more data is added to the registry. After several years of working with it, the size of the registry can go beyond what your computer can handle (depends mainly on RAM and number of drivers) and the registry will be incompletely loaded on starting windows, dropping more and more data until nothing works anymore.

2) you have a problem with your date and clock settings

This usually happens if the clock battery on your mainboard is exhausted - but that would require about ten years of computer operation, unless you have a technical problem that caused the battery to be emptied faster than usual.

Both of those options should have resulted in you getting other problems with your windows already, not only trial installation - so largest probabiliy is still that you have forgotten an earlier installation of the trial...

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
