Is there a default way to make all text slower?

I found that text displays just way too quickly, which could create problems for some scenes I had in mind (people skipping really fast or mashing z). Is there any way to make all default text slower? I know of \. but it's far too tedious to do it after every word, and I like it more for certain "slight pause" moments.

You could do \| at the end of a sentence, it'll at least stop the player from being able to spam enter/z/space/whatever to skip the dialogue too quickly.
