I want to blur the screen when I call the main menu command or any map scene command on the map during an abs battle. Anyone have a JS plug or just any coding experience to help me with that c
if using the default, its already built in, if its evented, than I dont know,
was figuring that out as well, but you can stop movement from
yanfly button common event,
if you want to re-arrange the menu from scract with default scenes, different names,
you can try yanfly main menu manager.
The default battle system of MV is not ABS.
Are you eventing and ABS... sooo... you mean a Choice Window?
...or maybe you are referring to an ABS plugin? (perhaps Alpha ABS?)

You could potentially do a script call to create a picture based on the map and blur it, the same way the menu system does, then use Show Picture. I'm pretty sure text and choices will appear on top of the picture. However, if there's animation on the map (if that bat is flapping its wings, for example), it will be frozen in the picture while the choices are displayed, but not on the map, so there might be a bit of a glitch appearance when the picture is removed.
@mavins16 keep in mind that TBS and ABS are very different as well.
TBS = Tactic Battle System while ABS = Action battle System like zelda.
but blurring out the map or the bottom part for the menu is a different story.
that's why you can and will get different answers if you dont give all the details
we have to know to solve the specific problem.

Unfortunately, I don't want to create a picture based on the map because I want the map itself blurred when the options show :/ so that the player can see that everything is 'frozen' which means time has stopped and they can then work on what to do next. Whether it'd be switching between themselves and other party members or them deciding on what attack to do next. This could either be in an ABS system format or the Tactics system that I mentioned. I hope you got the idea of what I'm aiming for...

My eyesight is pretty bad. So, I kinda can't help but think that it looks the same? :/ So sorry about that. I was thinking like really, REALLY, blurry when the options show up but the only unblurry images are that of the character profile on the left and the mini menu battle thing on the right. And then the screen would return to normal after the choice was made.
By the way, can you also make this work for any ABS system with the choices bar appearing while everything is slowing down and still blurry in the background?

So in addition to blurring the map (which is achieved by creating a picture based on the map and blurring it, which is what the menu system does), you also want the map to be frozen - events not moving around? That is an additional thing that you did not ask for. You really should be very descriptive in your requests, as that's two core things now that you didn't originally ask for. If you are more exact right at the start, it'll make it easier/faster to get what you want.
When you thought you'd be finished with the grid, and spend ~8-9 hours on an arrow. How is this more difficult to than player movement?
Still some bugs hiding in there, but it's nearly complete.
I'm having it strictly follow the path a user draws, because there will be booby trap and other similar mechanics where you want to avoid specific cells.
I feel like banging my head against a wall every time I want to find that post that shows all the plugin header codes. Then I think "next time I find it, I'm going to bookmark it". Then I think "wait a minute ... maybe I bookmarked it last time because it took me so long to find it". Check bookmarks, and there it is
