So there's an event toward the beginning of my game that's taken me forever to get right, and it's nearing perfection. Your player character walks into a museum and is greeted by the curator, who suggests you take your time to look around. There's an object on the table the game encourages you to steal (the main character is a thief), and once you do so you're supposed to head down to the museum's reference room. Doing so while holding the stolen object plays a scene where the curator chases you into the room and demands you return it before attacking you:

But if you should happen to leave and then return, he jumps back

to where the event is set to start:

Is there any way to set it so he stays? (and he has to stay for plot reasons, he's still alive and important to the plot so he can't just vanish as if you killed him.)

EDIT: I realized a little too late this may not be the best place to put this. If so, I'm sorry.

set an empty event page after the curators last event with his graphic.

Your player character walks into a museum map and is greeted by the curator an autorun event starts, who suggests you take your time to look around. There's an object event on the table the game encourages you to steal (the main character is a thief), and once you do so you're supposed to head down to the museum's reference room that adds an item to the player's inventory. Doing so while holding the stolen object If the player tries to leave the map with the item in the player's inventory, plays a scene where the curator chases you into the room and demands you return it before attacking you: another event activates that chases the player, and upon event touch, attacks the player.
Whew, weeded out all unnecessary information and replaced it with the correct terminology.


Then again, that entire paragraph wasn't needed either; all you needed to say was "My event returns to its original position when I re-enter the map." and we'd have gotten you a much faster and better answer. Please look for a script that memorizes the event positions, this is the easiest way to deal with events not staying where you left them.

You should make a second event where you want him to stay, which would be enabled by a switch after the encounter.  The old event should be disabled with a blank page and the switch as the condition.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
