    The whole exercise aspect is probably something Nintendo  wanted from it.

    Also, be careful there are a group of criminals robbing Pokemon Go players (and only those players) at gunpoint (serious).  They can't handle the Pokeswag.

    I actually got this as it came out, and while I don't have the strongest Pokemon, I do believe I have the most out of my friends. The coolest thing is not only has it gotten me out and about, but I'm finding things I never know about my town, and I'm getting some much needed exercise. Of course, I'm keeping common sense and all with me.

    I've heard the stories of people being irrational and lacking common knowledge or rational, but I'm still having a fun experience. There will already be those go-getters and people to take advantage of them. You just have to keep your common sense and wits about you so you don't  end up on either side.

    The best part is seeing everyone else around me play it as well. The game isn't officially out yet, but people sure are playing it everywhere in the Netherlands. I was supposed to go work after I got better from my strep throat infection, but then PoGo got released, and I just simply spent the entire weekend catching pokemon and fighting gyms. I hatched several eggs, and I think I covered about 15km of distance, just by walking.

    It's fun coming across strangers and just chilling together with a lure :)

    I can not express how much I was expecting it and how much I wanted it.

    Just today, me and my cousin, met two strangers because of the game.

    After some hours I was going home and I was searching for Pokemon.

    A car stopped and the driver told me where to go and look for it.

    The guy was a stranger.

    I can not describe you the feeling. Gamers everywhere. Gamers at last outside of their houses.

    And me outside doing my workout with motivation, while catching Pokemon.

    I can't wait to see how things go on! Till now I love it.

    I have a wi-fi only device, but I got connected to Xfinity which has decent coverage in my town.

    I don't often meet other people who play go, but I did create a facebook group inviting any players in my county to come and chat, and to also help map out all the Pokestops in Gyms in the area. It's pretty fun.

    I'm a great fan of Pokemon series but have not played Pokemon Go yet  ;_;

    South Korea is a country in ceasefire so people can't play games using maps like Pokemon Go. I heard that it is prohibited taking maps out of Korea.

    So it is impossible to play Pokemon Go because the producer of Pokemon Go is s foreign company.  ;_;

    But it is super-demanding! Newspapers and Tweeter, Facebook, all they are chatting about Pokemon Go.

    I wish many Pokemon trainers' dreams come true. please!  ;_;

    Only one city, 'Sokcho' which is in deep mountain people can play Pokemon Go in Korea. So lots of people is going to Sokcho now lol

    The bus seats going to Sokcho have been out of sale and Sokcho started to advertising "Welcome to our Pokemon city!!"

    It is nearly a social phenomenon.

    Anyway, is there anyone who is playing Pokemon Go?

    Someone put a lure at my local shop and players came swarming in:

    [IMG]

    Constant stream of 20-30 players, talked to many of them etc. It is really interesting to see how friendly and open all the players are too. Not meant in a creepy way, but I'm happy to see girls playing it too (though it doesn't really show in this pic, i think at least 30% of the players here are female)

    I'm really thinking about finding some people to play with a few times a week because my friends i played with until now are moving out of town. It would be really interesting to see if real friendships can sprout from playing this game.

    Short of one guy playing while shopping with his gf/wife that my brother totally embarrassed by saying out loud to me that "that guy is play Pokemon Go, too!" I have yet to encounter someone else playing. I mean, obviously they ARE playing, but...

    I've been tempted to bring a lawn chair to my nearby pokestop and set a lure on it.

    I've had one cafe in my town with a pokestop add lures to it non-stop to attract more foot traffic. It's working too, players want to sit down and drink while they reap in the benefits from the lure.

    That's smart and modern marketing. I wouldn't be surprised if this will even become a part of Niantic's commercial plan and some point. Also, this shows how the world is right now lol:

    I just have to say that I get a strange sense of joy looking down the street and seeing a bunch of people try to challenge the gym I took over and continue to lose. :D

    I wonder if this will make Video Games actually go beyond a niche and finally into the mainstream (TV companies have been trying to stop this for decades by associating gaming  with being uncool lol).

    I mean, I am shocked at all the people playing this game and such large numbers may be the final strike on the dam holding them back.

    As a huge fan of the franchise, I'm kind of glad Pokemon is back into the mainstream in general. It's like the 90's... but with smartphones.

    Not looking forward to that Live-Action movie they have planned, unless it's about people playing Pokemon Go.

    Let;s not get started...

    Let's be honest though, what was the last nostalgic based part cgi/part live action movie that was actually good?

    Because in the past, we had Alvin and the Chickmunks, Scooby Doo, Garfield, Smurfs, and Dragonball: Evolution to make us worried about this. This might be how the modern public will view the franchise for now on. We're getting Sonic and Pokemon, two series that already get a lot of backlash on TV (Even if I find it unjustified), entering the most infamous Movie genre.

    I just think a movie about a game would be more interesting than a movie based on the game itself at the moment. The idea is a bit more fresh, and c'mon, it's Pokemon Go, there's a lot they can base it around on. Not saying it's going to happen (or for profit's sake that it should), just a thought.
