Is this glitch?

So, I created some events with a graphic from the "damaged" category, and when you click on them it says a line of text. But depending on what side you click on it from, the graphic will change. Unless you activate it on the right side, facing left. Then it stays the same. This is weird af, is this meant to be this way, did I do something wrong, or are the sprites truly, "Damaged" (sorry for the pun, I'll go drink some bleach now)

I'm not sure how to delete threads but I figured it out, because the event wants to turn based on what side I activate it on, and there are no different sprites for that action. It takes a different one instead. So the key is to turn Direction fix on. Unless I'm wrong and I didn't really solve the problem, but found a workaround. Anyways, it works.

It's not a glitch - you're just not using that particular character sheet correctly.

Short answer: check the Direction Fix box on the event.

Long answer: a character sprite consists of 4 rows, each one for a different direction. When you interact with an event that has a regular character sprite, it will turn to face you, which means it will show a sprite from a different row of the character sheet. The non-character sprites (objects and damage sprites) don't have 4 rows with 3 columns for a single character, so when the event turns to face you, the graphic changes completely, depending on which row of the character sheet it's wanting to show.


Edit: you can't delete threads. You can only report them and ask a mod to lock them. Also watch that double posting - if nobody has posted after you, just edit your original message rather than posting again (unless the minimum 3 days has passed - then you can make a new post to bump it to the top again)
