Hello!
I have been going through this forum for the past month or so looking at posts about isometric 2D games and seeing how realistic it would be. I used to fairly code literate but haven't touched it in years and have no desire to relearn due to life outside my game, I am also a pixel artist and am making my own assets for my game. I am looking at RPG maker MV or Adventure Creator in Unity.
My game is inspired by the MegaMan Battle Network Series and has a similar art style seen here: https://lparchive.org/Mega-Man-Battle-Network-3-Blue/Update 01/56-MMBN3Update1075.png
I understand that there really isn't a "true" way to do isometric 2D in RPG maker and it is more along the lines of faking the perception of isometric. I also understand that there are a ton of plugins that are available that can help with things like collisions/boundaries.
I found some plugins through suggestions of other forum posts and I have listed them below. I am wanting to know if these would be enough to pull off this kind of game and if I should add any to my list? Basically how realistic would it be to do/is it worth it do try to make this game in RPG Maker? (I am aware that some of these plugins might be outdated or very similar to others on the list but I am new to GM so if that is the case it would be greatly appreciated if you let me know what to cut/change out):
Diagonal Plug in- https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/ve-diagonal-movement.53003/

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
