Issue or Bug?

I've run into a strange problem. Don't know how to explain it so here are some pictures. I have no plugins at all going for clarification.

So, you interact with the bed and a character is supposed to show up, but they never do...even though as you can see the variable does go up 1. Now for the setup.

What layer is the bed on? If you have it above the actor it is showing up but you just can't see it.

Silly question. I actually haven't opened up my copy of MZ yet. But if the event is on the same level as the player is it possible that the sprite is appearing behind the top of the bed? Since that is usually set to be something that the player/event could walk behind. Try moving your event 1 over to the right a few spots and see if she shows up. Then, maybe mess around with it from there?

Nope, I just did some edits, I made Event 1, through, so it can pass through anything, and then added an event, where event 1 moves off the bed and faces down to see if it was an issue with layers.

But it isn't the image is still not showing up. Thank you both for your help!

O.M.G!!! I figured it out! SO sorry to waste everyone's time. OOF. I'm so embarrassed, I had an event off to the side that I had forgotten about and it was causing the conflict! It works now.

I'm so mad! I purposely deleted ALL other events on the map just to make sure none of them conflicted. Ugh RPG MAKER WOES!
