Ok...  here is something else I am having an issue with...  I created a sprite for a NPC character I want to have present... I did it in the 3X4 format and I am pretty sure I got the direction right.  However, when I put the image into the game and run it, all I see is a stationary sword that the character is holding.

I am assuming this has something to do with the sizing of the sprite?  But I am not sure how to fix it.  On a side note, I noticed that when I go to the graphic image portion of the event, the white box that allows you to select the base image is very narrow in comparison to what it is with the premade sprites.

I am at a loss, and I am sure I am looking at the problem too hard...  Can someone point me in the right direction?

either you named the file for the sprite wrong (a single 3x4 sprite file needs to begin with $) or you made a mistake with the sprite/event itself.

Please post screenshots of the result ingame and the original picture here, then we can help.

One of the tips in the topic linked in my signature explains the naming of sprite files, you should read that if you don't know when to use $ and ! in the sprite filenames.

That's your problem. RPG Maker will by default treat all images in the characters folder as a sheet containing 8 spritesets. You will have to put the symbol $ in front of the filename to indicate it is only one spriteset.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
